Here's the first one to start:
As with many sermons, this preacher used a "pet word". Perhaps he loves using it regularly, or perhaps he recently learned of it or was reminded of it. The word was "HISTORICITY".
None of us had ever used the word, so we had fun (discreetly) defining it during the sermon. Our quintet's corporate definition of "HISTORICITY" is as follows:
"the documentation of the removal of female reproductive organs [as we weren't sure whether it was spelled "hi.." or "hy.."], particularly when done while experiencing great distress or enthusiasm.
