I got my rejection for letter for the Singapore audition today. I wish they had asked for tapes. My playing was good enough for LA, Dallas, New World, Spoleto, and Honolulu VIA tape, but my resume is not up to speed for Singapore. What are they looking for in a resume? Maybe someday I will learn to hear someone’s resume. Anyone who already has a job here in the US will probable pass on this audition so they will most likely get someone who does not have a current job performing as principal tuba somewhere. Besides, how many out there would be serious on taking the job if they are fortunate enough to win for more than a few years anyway?
Has anyone gotten invited?
