I don't think it needs to be X-Bay - it could be done on the orchestra's home page. It might be trickier to figure out if the "voters" are really "registered voters" (figure of speech only) who actually live and/or attend concerts in the orchestra's territory.
By the way - couldn't agree with you less about MTT doing a "good job". It's exactly the feeling that he's trying to force feed/educate us that has caused my wife and I to completely stop attending SFO concerts.
As a "curmudgeonly silver haired old fogey (certified)" I reserve the right to vote with my feet. I think that when I pay my money I should be the one who gets to choose whether to be entertained or educated.
Of course, that's just my opinion - I understand that people feel differently on this point. But maybe, just maybe there are more and more people who feel that the orchestras are not paying enough attention to what they want to hear.
