I just had the third removal of polyps from my vocal cords in the last 8 years. The surgon
has had some experience with brass players and said that my level of pressure delivery at the embouchure could be reduced somewhat and possibly reduce my high range. Has anyone had this experience and what were the results? I'm 67 and am slowing down with any solo work so this shouldn't make much difference if it isn't extreme. I play in the Indiana Wind Symphony, The Brazil (Indiana) Concert Band and a Dixieland Band. The Wind symphony is the only one that frequently needs high range.
Thanks in advance for any information on this subject, Ray
