As the other Tower Records person on the other (left) coast, I completely agree with Richard on his point. If you want the CSO, the DG Barenboim recording is, IMHO, vastly superior to the Solti. You also won't go wrong with any of Karajan's Bruckner 7th's, or those of Eugen Jochum either. If your on a budget, there's a very good one on Naxos conducted by George Titner.
