For a much more idiomatic (i.e. less driven, more expansive, with brass playing for bigness, not mere loudness) try Barenboim/Chicago DG 453100. This is one of those DG "2fers." You get the 4th and the 7th. The 4th was Barenboim's first CSO recording from the mid '70s, and has enjoyed a loyal following. The 7th was done in the 80s. Mr. Jacobs actually sounds much better on this than he does on the Solti, partly due to better miking , but also because Barenboim isn't driving the the brass into forcing as Solti so often did.
