Is the diameter of the rim on a PT-42 or -48 smaller than a Helleberg? After playing a Helleberg for several months, I'm convinced that I need something different. I love the sound that I can get on my Piggy with the Helleberg. So what's the beef? you ask. In order to get "that" sound, it feels both uncomfortable and unnatural. The problem is that the diameter of the rim seems too large for my mouth and embouchure tendencies. It also has rendered my range above high D to nothing. I tried a 7B, but that lopped off a significant portion of my low range. The reason I asked about the PT's is that I've had them recommended to me, and have given a -42 a honk sometime in the past. I seem to remember having liked it, but I've slept since then.

What I'm really looking for (I think) is a mouthpiece with the same cup depth and shape as a Helleberg, with a SLIGHTLY smaller cup diameter and slightly more rounded rim.

Anybody know of any such critter? [Preferably cheap :-\]
