What do you mean "false vibrato" Do flute players use a false vibrato, or for that matter, do singers? I think Diaphram vibrato is the most natural sounding vibrato, and it does not comprimise the structure of the embouchure, unlike jaw vibrato.
That being said, I firmly believe that vibrato style should be based on what you feel the most comfortable doing. It's a little like being left handed, and having teacher trying to force you to write with the wrong hand because it's more comfortable for them to teach you that way.
