If you are referring to fake pedals on a three valve horn, this is how they work. The pedal Eb below E natural, fingered 123, is played open. Just use your ear to center the pitch. It will feel very unnatural, but once you get the hang of it you will find lots of uses. After you've found the Eb, the notes follow the usual chromatic progression (eg D 2nd, Db 1st, C 12). The B is difficult to find on some horns, but not completely impossible. Hope it works for you.
