Hi, I am currently an owner of a YBB-641. I had no intentions of ever playing one, because the ones I had played 'Hoovered". I walked into a local music store and play tested one that was brought in for a local High School to try. A half hour later I walked out of the store with the horn. I have used it in orchestra for a year and I, and my section mates. love it. With that said, I can only advise you to play the 641, it has four valves and has certain playing characteristics to other larger instruments. For what it's worth, I shelved my large Conn BBb in favor for this instrument(sorry, not for sale). Old Russian proverb "Even the blind squirrel gets the nut sometimes". Good luck, the hell with appearence, 4 valves is what you need.
