Yes, I realize this topic is being beaten to death, but exactly with this spin.
One of my current tuba students will be going to college as a music ed major. He does not have professional orchestral or band aspirations. I have tried to make him realize that his success as a music teacher has a correlation with his success as a player (please - lets not debate this one just yet). So, I have been guiding him toward a CC and I encourage him to take playing seriously throughout college. He says he agrees. So, if you are not going to be a professional full time player, but will be a music ed major - do you switch to CC?
