This may sound totally crazy, but, after a protracted time away from the F tuba(2 years), I recently started playing F again as my job required it. Since that time I have really messed up my back. I am in very good shape and have analyzed my posture(which is fine for a 6'2" goober like me). The only thing I can think that happened is that I am blowing differently than my large BBb. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenom. BTW, I put it down for 3 days and played my big horn, and my back was better in 24 hours. Before I get the usual wise-a^& answers, I would appreciate any input. Actually the wise-a(AT)# answers are OK too, as levity is the spice of life. I play an older, true F tuba,i.e.; (AT).680 bore with a 16" bell that is like holding a feather. HELP!!!!
