Good input, Rick. I do realize that the bulk of the sound that I generate as a player comes from within. Nevertheless, the idea of a more "foundation" like sound appeals to me more than the column concept. Thusly, I'm wondering if an equipment change might be in order. I'm currently playing a PT-6 rotary-- and trust me, it's a great horn, and I'm not complaining about it at all-- but if there's a horn out there that can help me to achieve a more "york-like" sound concept, that's what I want. I'm not dead set on an equipment change. I'm going to try some different horns and see if I like any of them better than my current axe. If I don't, I keep the PT-6.

Oh yeah, as a side note, BBC 4 is really smutty at about 1.30am. Just a point to consider.
