As many of you know by now, I am helping my high school freshman buy a tuba. Thanks to your help, we have narrowed the field down to 2, I think.
The first candidate is a used King 2341 UB on sale at Dillon's for $2695, (see link).
The other is a VMI 2103 from the Brasswind End of Summer Sale catalog for $2586. It has had a dent removed and about 1/2 of the bell flair has marks remaining, (their words).
Before we make the plunge, does anybody have any last words of encouragement, despair, advice or ridicule?
