Okay, here goes. How about a comparison between the B&S F tuba (nowadays designated PT-10) and the Yamaha large bore F tuba (model 822.... new and old models) I am not interrested in any bashing (this horn stinks..... that one sounds awful...etc.) I would like to hear from satisfied customers, preferably pros and advanced students, who chose one over the other, own both, have owned either or both, etc. What made you decide on your choice? What type of playing do you do....quintet, solo, chamber, orchestral ( how big? 75....90....106???) . No Alexanders, no Meinls, etc. I will accept comments on PT-15 F tubas. How old is your instrument? Modifications...?"
